In overseeing key subcontract packages and stakeholder interactions for significant disruptions and road closures during the London Olympics, I spearheaded the revitalization of the iconic Hammersmith Flyover. The unplanned shutdown of this crucial artery in west London initiated a comprehensive project aimed at fortifying the structure and prolonging its operational lifespan. Following apprehensions regarding the integrity of the aging post-tensioning cables within the 50-year-old concrete segmental box girder bridge, a decision was made to halt all traffic on the flyover in 2011.
